• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous specialty clinic experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience using EPIC or electronic medical records preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned locations.
• Interest in neurology, neurosurgery, spine care, or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning to ensure efficient and effective patient appointments.
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.
• Utilize EPIC and other EMR systems to accurately maintain patient records.
• Scan, upload, and manage patient documentation.
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Conduct telephone screening following established protocols.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient care activities.
• Support prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and other administrative functions.
• Provide exceptional customer service while building rapport with patients and families.
• Assist with front office responsibilities as needed.

Medical Assistant – Neurosurgery (Plaza) Join our Neurosurgery team on the Plaza and make a meaningful impact on patients throughout their neurological and surgical care journey. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant – Neurosurgery to support providers and the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment.

This position requires travel. The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and willing to support patient care and clinic operations across locations as needed.

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-visit planning to ensure efficient and effective patient appointments
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits

Job Requirements
