Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant – Spine & Sports Medicine at the South Location in Overland Park to support providers and the nursing team in delivering patient care.

Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with injections and procedures, using EPIC EMR, scanning records, and coordinating care to ensure a smooth clinic flow with exceptional service.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, or a specialty clinic setting.
• Experience with EPIC or EMR systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant – Spine & Sports Medicine is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Specific duties include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting providers with injections and procedures, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and uploading documents, telephone screening utilizing established protocols, insurance prior authorizations, and other duties as assigned based on clinic needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
