Job summary

ProMedica Central Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Urgent Care in Perrysburg, Ohio. In this patient-centered role, you will collect vitals, document visit reasons, and support caregivers to ensure a safe, efficient experience from check-in to discharge.

You will communicate with patients and health care teams, answer calls, relay messages, and help improve patient care through accurate data and collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is preferred.

• Assist patients and collect vitals in Urgent Care.
• Document reasons for visit and maintain accurate medical records.

In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes to improve patient care.This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence.Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. You will show your clinical knowledge outside patient rooms as well when answering patient phone calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
