The Medical Assistant provides front and back office support, escorts patients, maintains exam rooms, and supports medical procedures. Performs clerical duties like scheduling, record keeping, and communication with patients and providers. Works under provider supervision to prepare treatment rooms, assist with exams, and perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as injections, phlebotomy, and office-based lab tests. Handles phone communications, insurance authorizations, and other administrative tasks. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a MA training program required.
Completion of an approved training program or equivalent, passing a certifying exam, or military medical training. BLS certification required. Must have or obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card within seven days of employment.
