Job summary

Duly Health and Care is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for our Downers Grove location. You will greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, take vital signs, and support physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with immunizations, handling prescriptions, and conducting onsite lab tests. Some travel to nearby clinics may be required. 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire
• Phlebotomy certification may be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years of prior medical office experience

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
