Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Practice Operations team. The successful candidate will assist in patient intake, prepare exam rooms, and coordinate with providers to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, updating records, and supporting immunizations under state guidelines. Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent and either one year of clinical experience or graduation from a Medical Assistant

Qualifications

One year of clinical experience or graduation from Medical Assistant program.
Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating the patient’s medical record and preparing the patient for the appointment.
Prepare patients for examination including vitals, updating medications and allergies, and updating personal history.
Assist in obtaining and documenting demographic information; perform injections or immunizations as allowed by state guidelines.
Coordinate with providers and care team regarding discharge, ED visits, labs, and specialist visits; participate in team problem solving.
Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, dispose of waste per protocol, and keep vaccine temperature logs.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental meetings.
