The candidate must be certified or registered with 1–2 years of experience and hold current BLS (ACLS if cardio). The position requires flexibility to float to other sites as needed, adherence to attendance policies, and strong communication to maintain quality

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 1–2 years’ experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required
• Submit proof of externship hours from an accredited program required
• Ability to verify graduation from an accredited school
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required for Cardio Department
• Valid government or State ID

Responsabilités

• Adheres to attendance policy as written in the handbook
• Floats to alternative locations with short notice and ensures site coverage
• Provide vital signs, interview patient/family, and charting
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
• Maintain effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates
• Ensure provider orders are directed to appropriate departments
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Complete medication and DME authorizations for patients timely
• Walk-in triage and interventions under Clinical Nurse Leader guidance
