Job summary

UAB Medicine's Cardiology Specialists of Birmingham is seeking staff to support clinical care in a busy specialty setting. The role involves assisting physicians, interviewing patients, taking vital signs, and handling basic clerical duties in a structured clinic. Travel to satellite offices is required and the work location is UAB St.

Vincent's Birmingham. Qualifications include a BLS certification within 30 days of hire and preferred Medical Assistant experience.

Qualifications

• Assist with treatments ordered by physician under supervision.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, record information.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Perform basic clerical duties: answering phones, maintaining records.
• Materials management: order/stock supplies and maintain a clean environment.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
