St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physician practices. The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, administering injections and medications, and performing EKGs and other point-of-care testing.

You will triage calls, document patient information, and assist with check-out duties while promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. This position supports high-quality patient care aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior medical assistant experience in vital signs, EKGs, medications, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications; perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages; assist with checkout duties.

Position Summary

P erform s clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians . Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations
