Job summary

Swedish Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Primary Care clinic in the Niles area. The role supports patient flow, records vitals and medication history, and assists with front desk duties in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least one year of experience in a medical setting; MA certification is a plus but not required. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training available for those without prior MA training.

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
