Job description

The Project Coordinator will support operations of the facility and team, coordinating various aspects of project plans, working with staff to develop data, communications, and support deliverables.The responsibility of the position also includes ordering and receiving of supplies, stocking supplies and assisting Accounts Payable with invoice packets

This position deals with sensitive and confidential information and interacts with internal and external customers at all levels.

• Ensures that customers, technical staff and upper management are kept aware of project status, issues and escalations

• Work with Materials Manager and teams for large-scale project activities. Including communication, coordinating activities, scheduling resources, data processing, tracking and providing status updates

• Monitors, organizes and expedites flow of work through supervisor's office. Follows up on pending matters; furnishes and obtains information from other departments' staff and management, or outside representatives.

• Manages own projects as assigned by department leadership team, with responsibility for meeting deadlines. Such projects may require data analysis and multi-departmental coordination

• Performs computer-based correspondence, documents, charts and reports. Independently initiates and composes non-routine correspondence, with documentation, for signature by management team. Uses and maintains database systems

• Organizes and maintains electronic file systems to ensure current and easily accessible information

• Assists team members with ongoing processes and special projects as assigned

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment preferred.
  • Strong Customer Service Background
  • Strong math and counting skills required
  • Type minimum of 40 wpm preferred
  • Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred)
  • Able to deal tactfully with public and other staff members
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with repetitive task
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above your head and shoulders
  • Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of administration, patients, physicians and employees.
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Required Experience
