Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Medical Assistant Front/Back Float to support urgent care clinics in Irvine, CA. This per diem role covers front office duties and acts as a clinical support for the care team, including patient data collection and treatment plan components as directed by Providers.

One year of ambulatory care experience is required; an Accredited MA program certificate is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred and BLS mandatory.

Qualifications

• One year of medical office/clinical experience in ambulatory care required, urgent care experience preferred.
• Certification from Accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Shift: Variable, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays (8hr shift)

Pay Range: $26.00/hr

Position Summary

Responsible for the front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.

• Assist in the data collection for the assessment of the patient.
• Implement a teaching plan with patient, family and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
• Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
• Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
• Be at work and be on time.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Prioritize and multitask.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Experience

• One (1) year medical office and clinical experience in an ambulatory care environment required, urgent care experience highly preferred.

Education

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
