Job summary

MemorialCare in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA seeks a Medical Assistant Front/Back Float to support front office and clinical teams within Primary Care. The role includes 50% lab services and requires strong communication, dependability and multitasking in a busy ambulatory setting.

The position is full-time with day shifts. An MA certificate is required; one year of ambulatory care experience is preferred, and a phlebotomy certification is optional.

Qualifications

• One (1) year medical office and clinical / lab experience in an ambulatory care environment required.
• Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Handle front office duties for all medical practices as assigned.

Shift: Days (8hr shift)

MA Level 1 – 0 to 2 year of Experience Pay Range: $23.00/hr - $33.18/hr

MA Level 2 – 2+ years of Experience Pay Range: $25.22/hr - $36.57/hr

$2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

Responsible for the front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice. 50% of duties will include lab services.

• Assist in the data collection for the assessment of the patient.
• Implement a teaching plan with patient, family and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
• Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
• Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
• Be at work and be on time.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
