Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Medical Assistant Front/Back Float in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA. This full-time role supports front office and clinical tasks in Primary Care, with lab work comprising about half of duties.

Two levels exist by experience; Level 1 starts at $23.00/hr, Level 2 at $25.22/hr, with signing bonus for external hires to MemorialCare Health System.

Qualifications

• One (1) year medical office and clinical / lab experience in an ambulatory care environment required.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Handle front office duties for all medical practices as assigned.
• Support clinical care team in delivery of patient care.
• Approx. 50% of duties involve lab services.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team; follow policies and directives.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program

Phlebotomy Certification preferred

MA Level 1 – 0 to 2 year of Experience Pay Range: $23.00/hr - $33.18/hr

MA Level 2 – 2+ years of Experience Pay Range: $25.22/hr - $36.57/hr

$2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

Responsible for the front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice. 50% of duties will include lab services.

• Assist in the data collection for the assessment of the patient.
• Implement a teaching plan with patient, family and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
• Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
• Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
• Be at work and be on time.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Prioritize and multitask.
• Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
