Shift Detail: Monday - Friday. Travel required between offices including Manchester, Glastonbury, Enfield, Farmington, West Hartford, Hartford, and Avon.

Job Description

Provides basic clinical and clerical support within the Medical Assistant scope of education, including direct patient care such as vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives, and virtual health. Also handles indirect patient care tasks like scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart preparation, and prior authorizations. Conducts point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.

Travel between offices including Manchester, Glastonbury, Enfield, Farmington, West Hartford, Hartford, and Avon is required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification OR relevant experience as outlined below.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer.
• All credentials must be maintained throughout employment.

Experience:

• At least one year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory) may substitute for educational requirements.

Relevant externship or experience in a busy medical office is preferred. EPIC EMR experience is also preferred.
