Job summary

DocGo is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide in-home care and monitor treatment for patients with complex injuries and illnesses. You will drive to patients’ homes and perform guided assessments under an Advanced Practice Provider’s supervision.

Document care in the EMR system, follow state regulations and DocGo standards, and deliver care with cultural sensitivity and a patient-centered approach. This part-time role offers 8-hour shifts with weekday/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification.
• Valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record (minimum 2 years).
• At least 2 years of recent in-person MA work in urgent care, primary care, or related setting.
• Phlebotomy experience and active American Heart Association BLS.
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs.
• Fluent English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in patients' homes across Greater Los Angeles area.
• Engage in guided assessments and treatment under APP supervision.
• Maintain patient medical records in EMR according to state regulations and DocGo policies.
• Drive to patients' homes daily for care.
• Perform supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses.
• Adhere to safety standards and DocGo protocols.

Position Overview

• You will be providing DocGo services in Greater Los Angeles by monitoring and providing directed treatment common to complex injuries and illnesses.
• Each day, you will drive to patients’ homes to provide patient care.
• While at a patient’s home, engage in guided assessments and provide treatment under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for patients facing barriers to accessing the traditional healthcare system
• Throughout the treatment process, maintain patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations, DocGo standards, and policy through our EMR system
• You will be practicing under direction with synchronous telemedicine support

Responsibilities

• Act as a conduit for the medical treatment of the Health Plan Partnerships patient population
• Navigate conversations related to management of health, well-being, medication management, and goals of care
• Provide supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses
• Participate in continuing education as required by the state where you reside and the DocGo training team
• Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
• Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion
• Lead your practice with a patient-centered approach
• Other related duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following certifications: MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA. (Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant).
• Valid CA Driver’s License (for at least 2 years) and an acceptable driving record
• Must have minimum 2 years of recent in-person experience as a MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA in an Urgent Care, Primary Care, or related setting
• Phlebotomy experienceActive and current American Heart Association BLS
• Ability to lift & carry 30-40lbs in a backpack style equipment bag
• Clinical work experience with pediatrics, preferred
• Fluent bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
