Job summary

Mountainside Medical Center in Clifton, NJ, is seeking an evening shift Medical Assistant for a full-time role in the Immediate Care Center. The MA will perform clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care under physician/APP supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED) and EMR/MS Office proficiency, with BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior clinic/hospital experience and CMA/RMA certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education , and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
