Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant to support our clinic team across Bergen County, NJ. You will perform both administrative and delegated clinical tasks under supervision to ensure smooth patient flow and coordinated care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EMR and MS Office knowledge, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree, graduation from an accredited MA program, and

The Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
