Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is seeking an evening shift, full-time Medical Assistant for its Immediate Care Center in Clifton, NJ. The MA will provide high-quality patient care and support both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic EMR and MS Office skills, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preference given to candidates with an associate degree or CMA/RMA and clinic experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree, CMA or RMA certification; prior clinic/hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
