Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources in Houston, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct nursing support in a physician practice. You will assist clinicians, prepare equipment, and help maintain a clean, safe environment in line with practice policies.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program (or 3 years of relevant experience), CPR certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience or 3 years without a program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, or three years of related work experience in lieu of completion.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification.
• Minimum: 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of the program

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation in the patient’s medical record per charting policy.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians with treatments, exams and procedures.

Job Summary

Medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan.
