Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant (MA) for our Health Center in Elko, NV. The role supports client employees and dependents with clinical and front-desk duties, typically 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, plus one weekend per month.

You will take vital signs, manage records, administer injections, run EKGs, and assist with labs and exams while maintaining a patient-centered approach. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification for health care providers required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only) required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records and ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications including injections and perform EKGs and other tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Assist front desk, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant (MA), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Elko, NV. Anticipated work schedule will be 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday-Friday plus one weekend per month of Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am-2:00pm. Great opportunity for work/life balance!

What You'll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
