Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA I/II) for a M-F 8am-5pm schedule to support providers in patient care, exams, testing and administrative duties. The role requires HS Diploma or GED with MA training and CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, and includes medication administration and specimen processing.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, patient rooming, vitals collection, basic screenings and coordination of care with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED required plus one MA pathway.
• Graduate from an accredited MA Program or externship option.
• Certification: CMA, RMA or CCMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care, examinations, procedures and dressing changes.
• Perform visit chart prep with tests, reports and summaries in the medical record.
• Room patients, document vitals, allergies and health history per criteria.
• Conduct screening and basic testing (hearing, vision, ECG).
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing per procedures.
• Administer medications/immunizations as appropriate and process refills.
• Manage prior authorizations, supplies and medication samples.
