Position Summary

This position provides clinical nursing support to Williamson Health Medical Group by communicating clinical information, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining specimens, assessing patients, performing office procedures, and maintaining supplies.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office environment.
• Competent in using glucometers, BP cuffs, thermometers, computers, autoclaves, stethoscopes, audioscopes, business phones, and administering medications.
• Office environment; able to sit, stand, communicate in English, and lift over 20 pounds.

Performance Standards

1. Accurately record patient histories and vital signs.
2. Administer immunizations and injections.
3. Counsel patients on health issues.
4. Order and maintain medications.
5. Coordinate outpatient care and secure consultations.
6. Triages phone calls and prepares drug and care requests.
7. Train new employees in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
8. Assist physicians with procedures and observe universal precautions.
9. Monitor medication supplies and coordinate with pharmacies.
