Position Summary

This role provides clinical nursing support within Williamson Health Medical Group by communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical procedures, and maintaining supplies.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office environment.
• Competent in using glucometers, BP cuffs, thermometers, computers, autoclaves, stethoscopes, audioscopes, business phones, and administering oral and injectable medications.
• Office environment; able to sit, stand, communicate fluently in English, and lift over 20 pounds.

Performance Standards

1. Accurately record patient histories and vital signs.
2. Administer immunizations and injections appropriately.
3. Counsel patients on health issues.
4. Order and maintain medications.
5. Coordinate outpatient care with local businesses and secure consultations and specialists.
6. Triages phone calls and prepares drug and care requests.
7. Train new employees in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
8. Assist physicians with procedures, observe universal precautions, and monitor medication supplies.
9. Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate medication supplies.
