Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Medical Assistant for Legacy Primary Care in Plano, Texas. The role operates under the clinical supervision of a physician or APP and supports the preparation and delivery of patient care in a high-volume primary care setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and either graduate from an accredited MA program or hold a current MA certification. National certification is preferred, and CPR certification is required.

The Medical Assistant role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma required.

• Required: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• National certification preferred.

• Current CPR certification required.
