Job summary

Community Medical Group in Miami, FL, is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead to oversee daily clinical operations and lead the MA team. You will act as a clinical leader, training staff and ensuring efficient patient flow while collaborating with providers and management to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited organization required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and daily support to the Medical Assistant team while serving as a clinical resource for staff.
  • Perform all Medical Assistant duties as needed to support patient care and clinic operations.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of new and existing staff.
  • Support clinic leadership in supervising clinical support staff and maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor patient flow, wait times, and operational processes to enhance the patient experience.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure HEDIS, quality, and preventive care measures are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, AHCA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate inventory management, ordering, and maintenance of medical supplies and medications.
  • Monitor medication and vaccine expiration dates and ensure appropriate storage and handling procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties, specimen collection, and laboratory support as needed.
  • Review referral statuses and ensure follow-up documentation is completed within the EMR.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
