This role performs hands-on clinical duties, including patient intake, registration, phlebotomy, specimen collection and preparation, point-of-care testing, medication and vaccine administration, insurance verification, payment processing, and clinical documentation. The position also provides leadership in staff coordination, workflow management, quality improvement, and efficient clinic operations while supporting healthcare providers during patient encounters and care coordination activities. The Medical Assistant Lead ensures the Public Health Clinic and Mobile Health Unit are prepared and operating effectively and participates in community outreach and mobile clinic events that expand access to care for underserved populations.
