Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy office setting in Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, lab testing, EKGs when applicable, and coordinating patient care within the EMR system.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, BLS, and at least one year of MA experience in a clinic. Occasional travel to other clinic locations is expected, with a standard 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office.
• Perform phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument troubleshooting.
• Document results in EMR and maintain patient records.
• Schedule outside testing and referrals as ordered by physicians.
