Job summary

Vera Whole Health in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a supportive clinic team. You will take vitals, document in EMR, assist with injections, phlebotomy, patient education, and care coordination to support wellness outcomes.

The role offers a weekday schedule (M–F), 5/8s or 4/10s, with no nights, weekends, or major holidays, and includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. CMA certification and 2+ years of phlebotomy experience are required.

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience (Required).
• 2+ years’ experience (primary or urgent care preferred).
• EMR experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support — take vitals, document in EMR, perform point-of-care testing.
• Immunizations & Injections — administer vaccines and medications.
• Phlebotomy — draw blood and prepare lab specimens.
• Patient Education — support diagnostic testing and wellness coaching.
• Clinic Flow — prep rooms, manage patient flow, assist front desk.
• Care Coordination — referrals, care gaps, outreach.
• Safety & Compliance — infection control, HIPAA, QA standards.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and clinic performance goals.
