Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a Medical Assistant at Aurora Healthway Dr for internal medicine. The role supports the care team with clinical and administrative tasks while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. This position requires phlebotomy skills and a MA program or equivalent experience.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm with Saturday 8am–12pm on rotation; benefits eligible with 40 hours weekly. Located in Aurora, IL, AMG emphasizes teamwork and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited MA program or 2 years verifiable full-time MA experience in the last 5 years.
• Phlebotomy skills required with 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
