Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Integrative Family Medicine. The role involves preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, documenting concerns, and assisting with EKGs and treatments in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• LPN licensure required.
• CCMA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) required or eligible.
• UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or Employee Partner MA Program completion required or eligible.
• One year MA experience and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications and allergies, perform EKGs and administer treatments.
• Provide care in a patient-family centered environment and promote healthy lifestyles.

Job description

Work Schedule

Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with Tuesdays off. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) - Integrative Family Medicine

• Join our team of providers who provide diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Required or


• Licensure as an LPN or


• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or


• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or


• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or


• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification


• High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or


• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required


• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required


• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
