Job summary

UW Health Family Medicine is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join a diverse team focused on compassionate, patient-family centered care. The role encompasses intake, vitals, EKGs, medication administration, and support across acute and chronic care settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program required.
• Licensure as an LPN required upon hire.
• CCMA certification required or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification upon hire.
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated preferred.
• One year CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or CMA/RMA/CCMA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent care.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
• Deliver quality care in a compassionate, patient-family centered environment.
• Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies; perform EKGs and administer medications and treatments.

Education

Completion of an accredited medical assistant program

Licensure as an LPN

Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program

Attainment of the CCMA certification

Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated

Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire

Job description

Work Schedule:

Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift position. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday Between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Current day off is Monday, No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Required or

• Licensure as an LPN or

• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or

• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or

• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or

• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or

• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required

• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required

• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
