We are hiring for multiple openings in primary and specialty clinics in the Portland Metro Area (Multnomah and Washington Counties). We offer flexible schedules, which will be discussed during the interview.

Typical Job Responsibilities
  • Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure
  • Updating medications, allergies, and other information in patient records
  • Performing medical procedures, specimen collection, and lab testing

The role supports delivering cost-effective, clinically competent healthcare by following Providence Medical Group's core values: Justice, Excellence, Dignity, Integrity, and Compassion. Medical Assistants work under a licensed practitioner's delegation to perform duties and assist in basic patient care, including administrative and clinical tasks such as maintaining records, preparing rooms, and assisting physicians.

  • Endocrinology Providence Portland Medical Center Campus (NE Portland, OR)
  • Endocrinology Providence St. Vincent Medical Center Campus (SW Portland, OR)
  • Infectious Disease Providence Portland Plaza (NE Portland)
  • Infectious Disease Providence St. Vincent Medical Central Campus (SW Portland, OR)
  • Podiatry Clinic Providence St. Vincent Medical Center Campus (SW Portland, OR)
  • Podiatry Clinic Providence Bridgeport (Tigard, OR)

Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 for eligible rehire and external candidates meeting all conditions, in addition to benefits and compensation starting from day one.

Qualifications
Associate Medical Assistant (MAI)
  • Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training, or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
  • At least one year of clinical experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
  • Upon hire: BLS certification from American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Salary Range (Oregon): $20.38 - $30.54

Medical Assistant (MAII)
  • Similar educational background as MAI, with at least 6 months of healthcare and medical assistant experience
  • Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire

Salary Range (Oregon): $22.21 - $33.98
