Description

We are hiring for multiple openings in primary and specialty clinics in the Portland Metro Area (Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties). We offer flexible schedules, and during the interview, we will discuss current open positions and your preferences.

The Job Utilizes a Combination Of Skills Including:

  • Clerical, computer, and phone skills
  • Customer service/people skills
  • Medical terminology
  • Hands-on clinical skills

Typical Job Skills Include:

  • Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure
  • Updating medications, allergies, and other information in patient records
  • Performing some medical procedures, specimen collection, and lab testing

The position supports delivering cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare by following Providence Medical Group’s core values: Justice, Excellence, Dignity, Integrity, and Compassion. Medical Assistants work under the delegation of licensed practitioners to perform duties as directed and assist in providing basic patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examinations, and assisting physicians with exams. All tasks must comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Depending on Availability, Our Occupational Medicine Metro Clinics Include:

  • Occupational Health Tanasbourne (Hillsboro, OR)
  • Occupational Medicine Bridgeport (Tigard, OR)
  • Occupational Medicine Clackamas (Clackamas, OR)

Eligible rehire and external candidates meeting all conditions can receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus, in addition to Providence's benefits and compensation package starting on the first day.

Associate Medical Assistant (MAI)

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school with clinical training or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
  • Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces or
  • At least one year of work experience as a medical assistant including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
  • Upon hire: BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Six months of healthcare experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Salary Range in Oregon: Min $20.38 - Max $30.54

Medical Assistant (MAII)

Required Qualifications:

  • Similar educational background as MAI, with at least one year of clinical experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
  • Six months healthcare experience
  • Six months Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire

Salary Range in Oregon: Min $22.21 - Max $33.98
