Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Columbus, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in clinical and administrative tasks. You will help with patient history, vital signs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a clinic setting, understands EMR systems, and holds CPR certification. On-site teamwork and ongoing training are emphasized in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity required.
• Ability to perform CPR and maintain certification.
• Ability to work independently with professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform basic testing and screenings (vision, hearing, EKGs, urine screens)
• Conduct phlebotomy and collect lab samples
• Complete lab paperwork and documentation accurately
• Assist with injections and track documentation per policy
• Perform point-of-care tests and document results
• Dispense medications as directed and maintain sterile technique
