Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in our Erie, PA clinical team. You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, document patient information in the EHR and assist with routine office operations under provider supervision.

Requirements include a High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program and MA certification within the specified period. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for external hires; some travel between AHN locations may be

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification within timelines is required for MA certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, document history and medication screening.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR and assist with office workflow.
• Perform back office testing and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Document in the EHR and support clerical office functions.
