Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Model and train other Medical Assistants and MA student externs and Practice Assistants in the practice.
• Identify ways to use resources more effectively and efficiently.
• Identify and resolve OSHA compliance issues and maintain point-of-care testing results.
• Participate in practice improvement initiatives and small projects under supervision.
• Greet patients and serve as a communication resource; collect complete patient information.
• Obtain vitals, perform EKGs, injections, phlebotomy and assist providers.
