Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• The MA II serves as a role model, providing support, training and sharing knowledge with other Medical Assistants, MA student externs and Practice Assistants.
• Identifies and resolves OSHA compliance issues, audits and maintains point of care testing and tracks test results.
• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource, takes complete and accurate information and communicates to providers.
• Greets patients, escorts to exam rooms, obtains vitals, performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy, and assists providers.
• Assists with procuring medical records, updates EMR with medications and handles patient information requests according to guidelines.
