Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214-based clinical training may substitute.
• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and site policies.
• Performs vital signs, medical history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties (venipuncture, labeling, and results).
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of medication administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging.
