Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced clinical setting in Charlotte, NC. You will perform rooming, vital signs, health maintenance, medication reconciliation, and prepare lab work following CLIA standards.

Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program; on-site role with opportunities to grow clinical skills and patient-centered care. BLS may be required; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of verifiable MA experience within last five years is not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope and maintains competency.
• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, and history.
• Assist provider with procedures and perform POCT per orders.
• Lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administer meds and vaccines safely following meds rights.
• Support scheduling, referrals, and patient messaging as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and equipment.
