Job summary

Unio Health Partners (UHP) seeks a Medical Assistant II to support patient care delivery across clinics. The role requires collaboration with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure a professional, comfortable, and efficient environment.

The MA II will assist with vitals, documentation, and clinic operations, including EMR tasks and patient communication. Experience with EMR systems and a high school diploma are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-5 years of healthcare experience including EMR system experience.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred (Spanish helpful).
• Phlebotomy certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient turnover of patient rooms and maintain timely daily schedule flow.
• Provide patient care including vitals, intake forms, medical history, and post-visit instructions.
• Perform designated office coordinator duties in clinic operations.
• Maintain instruments and equipment: sterilize, disinfect, autoclave, and clean per specs.
• Submit prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and labs.
• Prepare EMR by uploading labs, diagnostic studies, and documents for upcoming appointments.
• Support front office duties: scheduling, phones, voicemails, emails.
• Train new Medical Assistants and externs in duties and procedures.
