Job summary

Community-Healthcare-Network-Inc- in the Bronx, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join our network of health centers across New York City. This full-time role supports nurses and providers in delivering comprehensive patient care.

You will take vital signs, perform EKGs, assist with examinations, collect specimens, manage records, and participate in patient counseling and care coordination. We offer growth opportunities and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current NYS Medical Assistant Certification from a NYS licensed school.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire.
• Minimum of two years medical assistant experience (MA II).
• Ability to perform venipuncture, vital signs, EKG and routine examinations.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs, patient data, and medical information in records.
• Assist with procedures and routine examinations in exam rooms.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies and manage clerical tasks.
• Provide health counseling and HIV counseling as needed.
• Coordinate with care team to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain infection control policies and procedures.
• Support nurses and providers with documentation and referrals.
