Job summary

Community Healthcare Network seeks a Medical Assistant I/II to support nursing staff and providers across NYC health centers. The role includes vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, venipuncture, triage, and patient records management. Strong multi-tasking and confidentiality are essential for delivering quality care.

On-site at multiple centers, you will contribute to preventive care, patient education, and efficient workflow while adhering to infection control and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification from a New York State Licensed School.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, EKG, BMI, vision tests, specimen collection, and venipuncture as needed.
• Provides medical triage and patient assessment.
• Stocks exam rooms with supplies and maintains medical records.
• Assists providers with procedures and routine examinations.
• Maintains accuracy of medical records and reports.
• Performs routine clinical administrative tasks including chart copying, prenatal log updates, and referrals.
• Coordinates with nurses to ensure quality patient care.
• Adheres to infection control policies and patient confidentiality.
