Medical Assistant II, Orthopedics/Pain Management

Position Overview

Provides clinical and clerical support to providers and members of the patient care team by performing a variety of back office and patient-related tasks to support high-quality patient care. Ensures smooth patient workflow and assists in implementing the medical care plan. Performs duties under the supervision of a clinician.

Job Details

• Location: 2488 N California Street, Stockton, CA (from July 2025)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program approved by the Medical Board of California, or equivalent Sutter Health training/on-the-job experience
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider; MA Certification (eligible in 2025)

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, anatomy, physiology, and terminology
• Competent in vital signs, patient prep, injections
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems

Additional Requirements

• Ability to prioritize, work independently and in teams, and solve problems
• Travel as needed

Work Schedule & Benefits

• Dayshift, full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday
• No weekend requirements

• Pay Range: $26.56 - $31.86/hour
