Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant in California to provide direct patient care in a clinical setting. You may perform injections, skin tests, venipunctures, and other routine procedures, while supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant diploma, at least 1 year of experience (2 years preferred), BLS certification, and bilingual abilities (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) depending on location.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience required, two years preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location required.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and clerical support; may administer IM, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, skin tests, oral medications, venipuncture and skin punctures.

Job Overview

This role assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures, technical and clerical supportive services in the clinical setting. The Medical Assistant may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous , or intradermal injections , and may perform skin tests , administer oral medication, venipunctures , and skin punctures for blood specimens.

Compensation

$26.00 - $30.55 hourly
