Credentialed Medical Assistant II, Family Medicine

Location: High Point NC, United States

Position Highlights:

• Sign-on Bonus: $6,000 sign-on bonus eligible for qualified candidates!
• Shift Schedule: Full Time (40 hours/week), 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday
• Department: Family Medicine

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing caring and compassionate customer service for an excellent patient experience
• Interacting effectively with patients and families in sensitive situations
• Demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment in a busy environment
• Interviewing patients, recording medical information, and measuring vital signs
• Updating health maintenance, medication changes, and allergy information at each visit
• Following standard precautions and regulatory policies
• Completing CLIA-waived laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
• Conducting Point of Care testing (POCT) and maintaining lab quality control
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Leading and training lower-level staff
• Collecting and logging specimens
• Tracking and communicating test results
• Functioning as an EMR super user
• Completing required training and annual projects

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum five (5) years of CMA/RMA experience post-certification
• Option to become a CMA II without 5 years’ experience if passing the SCMA exam
• Good standing in the department with a performance rating of meets/exceeds expectations

Certifications:

• CMA from AAMA, CCMA from NHA, NCMA from NCCT, RMA from AMT, or equivalent certifications listed
