Credentialed Medical Assistant II, Family Medicine

Location: High Point NC, United States

Position Highlights:

• Sign-on Bonus: $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
• Shift Schedule: Full Time (40 hours/week), 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday
• Department: Family Medicine

How You'll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate customer service to enhance patient experience
• Interacting effectively with patients and families in sensitive situations
• Demonstrating critical thinking and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Interviewing patients, recording medical information, and measuring vital signs
• Updating health maintenance records, medication changes, and allergy information
• Following safety policies and regulatory standards
• Performing waived laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures in accordance with CLIA standards
• Conducting Point of Care testing and maintaining associated equipment
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Leading and training lower-level staff
• Collecting and logging specimens, ensuring proper documentation
• Managing test results and functioning as an EMR super user
• Completing required training and projects annually

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Five years of experience as a CMA/RMA post-certification
• Option to qualify as CMA II via passing the SCMA exam if less than five years of experience
• Good standing in your department with a positive performance review and no recent CFIP

Certifications:

Recognized/certified as a CMA or RMA by one of the following organizations:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• National Health Career Association (NHA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• American Allied Health
• National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA)
• National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)
