Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a patient-focused role to support clinical and administrative functions within our care areas. Under supervision, you will assist medical staff with preparing patients for visits, gathering statistics, and performing basic diagnostic procedures as needed.

You will help document patient care, communicate changes to the medical team, and maintain examination spaces, equipment, and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Collect statistics and prepare patients for visits with medical staff.
• Assist with basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Document patient care and communicate observed changes to medical staff.
• Maintain examination areas and equipment; reorder, stock, clean and troubleshoot supplies.
• Perform administrative tasks including filing, reception, scheduling, scribing, data entry, prior authorization and patient registration.
