Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare experience with formal training or externship.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical ambulatory care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in patient examinations, procedures, and dressing changes.
• Perform rooming activities and document vital signs and health history.
• Obtain specimens and perform point-of-care testing per policies.
• Administer medications and immunizations as appropriate.
• Process medication refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Maintain stock and organization of clinical supplies and samples.

Education

HS Diploma or GED

Graduate from an accredited MA Program

Graduate from an MA Training Program with externship

1 year of relevant healthcare experience with formal training

1 year prior experience as a Medical Assistant

At least 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
