Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Elliot General Surgery team in a full-time, weekday schedule (M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

The role supports providers in patient care, examinations, procedures, charting and administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with JCAHO, CLIA, NCQA, and government standards. CMA/RMA/CCMA are preferred and BLS is required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with 3–5 years of medical office experience is preferred but not required.
• BLS authorization within 90 days of employment and maintained during employment.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient examinations, procedures and dressing changes.
• Performs rooming, vital signs, documentation and chart preparation.
• Administers medications and immunizations as appropriate.
• Handles medication refills, prior authorizations and tissue/ specimen collection per policy.
